Update

After a busy few weeks with uni work, rallying and other stuff I now have a break untill the next rally event. Spent last weekend up in Aberdeen for the Station Garage Granite City Rally. A great rally which I enjoyed again like last year, stages were great and got some good photos. Attended my first VIP day which was brilliant, found a good place at the end of the VIP stage to get some 2 wheel action.

Last week I spent some time up at Stirling Castle to photograph the sun as it went down, was great to get out with the camera in a non motorsport environment for a change. Some the pictures are below.

With my course this year nearing its end I am spending my free time applying for jobs and hoping something comes up soon and that I can get a job which will let me continue going to motorsport events.

Competitors will be faced with 43 miles of challenging stages in the forest of north Mull which include the classic Ardmore and Quinnish stages. After taking the win on both Mull rallies this year (2008 Mull Forest Stages and Tunnocks Tour of Mull) Paul MacKinnon is expected to be back to try and win the event for a 3rd time.

Eddie O’Donnell is fired up for another trip into the forest. Eddie has had a good run recently finishing both the Colin McRae stages and the Tunnocks Tour of Mull. Tarmac ace John Rintoul has entered each running of this event so far and once again is back to tackle the Mull forests and gain some more experience on gravel as he plans to entering some Scottish Rally Championship events this year.. Jim Carty makes a welcomed return to the island in either his Metro 6R4 or Subaru Impreza WRC, Jim will be hoping for a clean run with the start of the 2009 Scottish Rally Championship only a few weeks away.

Isle of Islay driver and former Mull resident Paul Graham is looking forward to getting in to the forest after gaining some forest driving training, Paul will pilot his MPH services of Congleton prepared Ford Escort Mk1 and hopes for a clean run to gain a finish after encountering problems in previous attempts. Mull Hire Subaru Impreza crew of Allan Cameron and Angus Williams are looking forward to play in the forest after lengthy break focusing on tarmac rallying. The Bearcub Rallysport team have entered their Vauxhall Corsa with Zak Hancock at the wheel and Ally MacCrone calling the notes. The rally will start from the Salen Hotel with the first car leaving the start at 10am.

Late entries are still being accepted and should contact entries secretary Tula Rowley on 01680 300326
